This easy peaches and cream smoothie recipe is one of my all time favorites.
And I’m a chocolate junkie, with no regrets. Yea, it’s that good.
AND it’s healthy? Get ready to be all in.
This smoothie has got some oat bran in it. Now, don’t get nervous. This is the secret sauce that’s bringing this to a whole other level. If you don’t know much about oat bran, it’s a top 10 staple you should have in pantry at all times.
In a nut shell, it’s going to bring up the protein value you get from the yogurt and the fiber you’re getting from the peaches. PLUS, you’re going to get a nice serving of omega-3 fatty acids on top of all that.
Add oat bran and you just suddenly start winning.
Break out the blender and let’s get started…
Creamy and refreshing. Just delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen peaches 1-2 large fresh peaches works too
- 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt use 2%, if you think you don't like yogurt. Dairy-free yogurts work well here too.
- 1/2 to 1 cup milk of choice I like unsweetened almond or coconut milks here best
- 1/3 cup oat bran (trust me!)
- 1 tbsp honey or stevia
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 dash cinnamon
- A few ice cubes optional
Instructions
-
Toss everything in your blender, and blend until smooth.
-
Start with 1/2 cup milk and add more to meet your preferred level of thickness.
There’s no wrong answer when making your smoothies.
If you like more cinnamon, add more. If you like your smoothies thicker like milkshakes, add less milk.
Breakfast, done. Enjoy!
